The Map itself is exciting - as a kid I used to look at the ends of the lines & wonder about those far off places.

Like Jamie, I have a bit of a fondness for the Piccadilly line, especially the announcer who used to be at Kings Cross (you have to almost-sing this in a BBC accent):

"This train is for all stations to Rayners Lane.
This is a Rayners Lane train."

I'd like to have a word with Inspector Sands after the debacle at Euston this morning. 500 commuters, one Oyster reader, situated 5 platforms away. Hmmmm

Nice post though Dan. I've always has a fondness for the Piccadilly Line. I think people secretly have their own favourites. I like the way it squirms across London from North to West offering you everything from rural escape (Cockfosters - stop sniggering), to shopping and tourism (Covent Garden, Green Park) to escapism (Heathrow!). It is also home to my favourite station name Park Royal (I've always had a desire to name the band-that-I'm-not-in Park Royal). Oh and its a lovely deep shade of blue. Mmmmmm

Whereas on the other hand I've always had it in for any line that passes through or leads to Edgware Road. Edgware Road is by far the coldest station on the map. If you ever need to understand what an arctic wind chill feels like stand there on platform 3 for 5 mins. Horrid.

Which lines do you guys like or dislike?
