<description>Seems to me that the web is the ultimate democratic platform for expression and creativity yet it still faces a few obstacles. Do you ever think anxiety, fear and peer approval disappear within such a structured platform?. Web 2.0 is a tool for the competent and confident communicator, individuals with talent preferably graphical skills or word smiths are looking for an audience,(Christopher Lock)are in their element trying to entice a tiny proportion of the planets 1,596,270,108 internet users of which if you could get.005% (that would be 7,981,350) would bask in the lime light, 17 %of which is North America and Australia. The fastest growing numbers being Africa and the Middle east. If you add these to South East Asia you get a whopping 47.5 % of the worlds internet users. So is this the few preaching to the masses,Content is King i hear. I get confused is this traffic exhibiting narcissistic thinking, expecting the planets population will absorb the machinations of a few verbose individuals. maybe I am wrong, just say all the planets internet population understand the clue train manifesto (add torrent here) and 112.8 million blog posters plus the 72.82 million blogs the Chinese produce. Will we all be connected? Will we be all be communicating cross political ideas and ideals or is it just a useful tool for marketing to our own small segment (WASPs or those prescribing wasps). Is this internet thing just good for selling values and concepts to peeps with similar fears, insecurities and objectives. Seems to me a great tool is being used as a great sales gimmick.
