I’m a writer, author, consultant and marketer with more than a decade’s experience in the digital sphere. Part of the team that founded eBay.co.uk back in 1999, I’m the bestselling author of Make Serious Money on eBay UK, Amazon and beyond (new edition published Ocober 2013).
I’ve also worked with a myriad of start-ups, charities and other organisations since going freelance in 2006 including BT., the NHS, vzaar, MyDish, Upad and the Labour Party. I’ve also contributed to the Metro, Telegraph, Sun, Sky News and other media.
Currently, I’m the co-editor of Tamebay.com, Europe’s number one blog, news site and information resource for ecommerce SMEs and eBay sellers. I also regularly contribute to other blogs and also do a fair bit of copywriting for other people. I’m a pen for hire, so give me a shout if you need a scribe.
I have a degree in History from the London School of Economics, a basic food hygiene certificate, a cycling proficiency but not a driving licence. I spend my personal time reading voraciously, writing fictions all too sporadically, keeping track of current affairs, visiting historic buildings (especially churches and British seaside piers). I’m also prone to tweeting, Facebooking and buying and selling tat on eBay. I am not averse to a pint.
In 2011 I stood as the Labour candidate for Regency ward on Brighton and Hove City Council. I did not win.
I’m still not entirely certain what I want to be when I grow up. I would like to travel more. Hopefully by train. So, opportunities abroad are every welcome (I can take the boat). I plan to do an MA/PhD at some point but in what I don’t know. The classics are a burgeoning interest.
